Builder Tip #127 from HomebuiltHELP
You Need to Visit This Airplane Factory
There is so much to Learn when Visiting your favorite Kit Aircraft Factory
Whether you are currently building a project or not, it is a sure bet that attending a factory sponsored open house event is a wise use of your time . We attended the recent Zenith Aircraft factory open house in Mexico, Missouri and have some advice from our visit.

Of course, Zenith would like you to consider one of their popular aircraft kits, but there was so much more to gain as a visitor to their shop. Many vendors were on hand to demonstrate their related products such as engines, panels, batteries, avionics, scales, builder assistance and much more. For example, a live demonstration of a dynamic prop balancing tool was performed. Several question and answer panels were moderated by vendors to provide additional information.

Builders of completed aircraft were on hand to share their knowledge and experiences to attendees present. What a way to learn about building and flying these aircraft first hand! Free demo rides were provided by both the factory and engine vendors.

Watch this short video summary so you can decide whether to attend the next opportunity of a factory open house by your favorite aircraft kit vendor.
