Course evaluations are a useful way to get feedback from students that you can use to improve your teaching. Typically they are given at the end of the semester. However, mid-semester is also an appropriate time to seek such feedback. Not only does it allow you to make changes for the rest of the semester, it shows students you care about their perspective and that their input can have an impact on the rest of the course.
