News and Updates for Employer Groups

Oops! This is a do-over of the newsletter you received earlier. It included incorrect Thanksgiving holiday dates. Our apologies!
Help Employees Choose a Plan
Whether your employee is choosing a plan for the first time, or during your open enrollment period, it can be confusing. Share these guidelines to help employees get started in making the decision.
Flu Shots—Even More Important
Flu season is here and cases of COVID-19 are still rising! Encourage employees to get the flu vaccine now to protect against flu and reduce the burden on the healthcare system. QualChoice members can get the vaccine at no out-of-pocket cost from any in-network doctor or at their pharmacy. Members can learn more and find a vaccine provider here.
Using Antibiotics Correctly
Antibiotic resistance occurs when we overuse these useful drugs, which are often prescribed when they are not needed or for conditions for which they are not effective. QualChoice is committed to educating our members and providers about this nationwide--even global--issue. One common example of misuse is prescribing antibiotics to treat acute bronchitis. Please share this information on Preventing and Treating Bronchitis with your employees.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Our offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 so our employees may spend time with their families. We’re thankful for you, our valued employer groups, and we wish you and yours a peaceful holiday!
