Yes, you read the subject line correctly – we’re talking about the holidays! No need to run from your poolside seat quite yet, but it doesn't hurt to start thinking about what updates your home might need before company arrives.
Although we are currently basking in the sunlight of July, the holiday season will be upon us in less than five months. In order to keep stress levels to a minimum during that busy time of year, now is the time to begin updating your home so it’s comfortable and current for any entertainment opportunity that may arise.
This month’s feature projects illustrate how a few simple changes – pillows, a table runner, and window treatments – can easily update the living spaces in your home.

The Pantone Color Institute, a color consulting firm that specializes in brand palettes, annually chooses a “Color of the Year.” What did they choose for 2017? Greenery. More specifically, Pantone 15-0343. The Institute describes the springy color as, “the color of hopefulness, and of our connection to nature. It speaks to what we call the ‘re’ words: regenerate, refresh, revitalize, renew.” How are you using this color in your own home?
