Tips for LewerMark Health Insurance
August 21, 2023
What happens if I need to see the doctor before
September 20, 2023?
You will use your PacificSource health insurance plan that you purchased for the Summer 2023 term.

If you need help finding a doctor, or if you have questions about your coverage, you can contact PacificSource by email or phone at [email protected] or +1-541-284-7961.
Where can I find more information about the new
LewerMark health insurance plan?
You can find more information in a few places!

The first place is on our PCC Health Insurance webpage. There, you can find a link to the
  • LewerMark Family document, which is a helpful print out to explain a few important items,
  • 2023-2024 LewerMark Plan Summary, which gives a quick overview of your benefits, and
  • 2023-2024 Brochure which provides more in-depth information about the coverage of the plan.
The second place you can find more information about the plan is on the LewerMark PCC webpage. You can find the 2023-2024 Plan Summary and 2023-2024 Brochure on that page.

They also have a very informative video that lets students know more about the LewerMark insurance called the LewerMark Orientation video.
The third place is our weekly OISS newsletters. Watch for information and informative videos in the newsletter after September 20, 2023.

If you have questions about your health insurance coverage, you can contact LewerMark by
Is there anything I must do to use the LewerMark insurance
after September 20, 2023?
Yes. You must log in and pay for your Fall 2023 term health insurance first. (Make sure to use a computer and the Chrome browser!)

Once you have paid for your insurance, you must print a copy of your health insurance card (You can find out how to do that here). You must carry this card on you at all times and show it when you visit the doctor.

It is very likely that the doctor you have been seeing with PacificSource will also take your new LewerMark insurance, but you must ask first. If they do not, then you will need to find a new doctor. You can visit the LewerMark PCC webpage and select the “Search for a doctor” icon.
How can I sign up my dependents?
The LewerMark health insurance plan is only for students on an F-1 visa. Health insurance is not required for F-2 dependents, but if your dependents (spouse or children) on an F-2 visa would like health insurance coverage, LewerMark does have individual plans separate from the student plan that you can sign them up for. Visit the LewerMark PCC webpage and select the “Dependent Coverage Options” icon.
Will I have dental and vision coverage in my
LewerMark insurance?
No, dental and vision coverage is not included in the plan. In fact, in the US dental and vision insurance is separate from medical insurance. If you would like to see about adding dental and vision coverage, you can visit the LewerMark PCC webpage and select the “Dental/Vision Options” icon.
Will there be any information sessions I can join?
Yes! We will be hosting an online Q&A (Question & Answer) session after the Fall term begins. We will have people from the LewerMark office join us to help answer questions that students might have about using their new health insurance plan.

Watch for information in your PCC email and our OISS weekly Newsletter.
