College Counseling News from KD Maynard, College Counselor Seniors will soon receive college admission decisions, as well as information about financial aid and scholarships. Information is not presented uniformly, so it’s important to be discerning and to read all the materials sent to you carefully.  Note that the competition these days can be extreme. From the outside, decisions can feel arbitrary. We've all heard tales of students who were denied admission at certain institutions to everyone’s astonishment—especially if we know another applicant who did get admitted but appears to be less qualified. Remember that we have access to only a fraction of the information that a college is weighing. Take these decisions in stride, and trust that you're bound for a bright future no matter where you land after high school.
