Fire Pits: Cheney Pergola
.
February is considered the month of Love by many people. Flowers, chocolates, and jewelry are popular choices of gifts to get for that special someone. Others prefer to spend quality time together. Imagine spending a romantic evening alone together, just the two of you. Cuddling on the love seat, you can enjoy a delicious roast over your very own firepit, listen to the sound of bubbling water nearby, and feel the cool breeze of the night air. Mmmmm, delicious!
The Cheneys decided to create their own backyard retreat. This 12' x 14' pergola is just the right size for the two of them to share a romantic evening, but also allows plenty of room for fun times with friends and family as well! Finished in Rich Sequoia stain and featuring the Roosevelt profile, this pergola also includes upgraded drilling for power so it can have lighting at night! Doesn't it look so comfy and cozy?

Back Yard Tips: Whether you have a timber structure already or are planning on getting one in the spring, here are some ideas to help beat the blues til then!
1. Hang a bird feeder for all the wintering birds--it helps bring life and color to your otherwise dismal backyard. Better yet, take some time to make your own bird house. The birds especially like peanut butter coated with birdseed!
2. Have a bonfire with family and friends--get a portable fire pit, find a metal barrel, or simply dig a hole and stack rocks around the edges. It will warm up even the coldest of nights!
3. Shake things up a bit--trade backyards with a friend. Have them "design" or "remodel" your backyard as if money were no objection. You do the same for theirs. You might be surprised at what fun and crazy ideas come up. This will help give you a fresh new perspective and build your excitement for your new backyard retreat!
