Lisa Roberts honored with 2024 Coreopsis Award

We proudly announce Lisa Roberts as the 2024 recipient of the T. Elizabeth Pate Coreopsis Award. Lisa served as the Foundation’s executive director from 2008 to 2021, a tenure marked by transformative leadership.

Reflecting on Lisa’s impact, Foundation Chair Sara Burke shared: “Years ago, at an event near my home, the way Lisa spoke about wildflowers and the Foundation excited me and made me want to become part of the Foundation.”

Viva Florida Landscape Demonstration Garden grants bring native beauty to parks, nature centers and other public spaces. These grants provide funds with which to purchase Florida native wildflowers and plants for public projects that showcase the beauty of Florida natives while demonstrating their uses.

We are thrilled to introduce the Seeds of Knowledge Library Demonstration Garden Grant pilot program! This is your library’s chance to bring the beauty and importance of Florida’s native plants to life. We are looking for three Florida libraries to lead the way as pilot sites. Botany in Context Webinar Series

A six-part webinar series with Jim Folsom, PhD.

This crash course in basic botany for the beginner will take us on a journey from understanding plant anatomy and physiology to learning how plants are named and the botanical jargon that will demystify plant keys and identification. Dr. Folsom will contextualize it all in Florida native plant communities.
