Happy Holidays from Visit Kenosha! Plan an overnight visit to attend many Merry & Bright events and to shop for gifts. From a large outlet mall to specialty boutiques, art galleries, and museum gift shops, you’ll find something for everyone on your list. Two shopping events – with special promotions and activities at multiple locations – coming up in Downtown Kenosha are Ladies' Night Out on December 18 and Third Thursdays on December 19.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, MERRIMENT

Bring your camera to take advantage of some great photo opportunities as you stroll through amazing outdoor lights displays. The Magic at Muni Holiday Lights Display is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at the Washington Park Municipal Golf Course, while Holiday Lights on the Farm is open daily at Jerry Smith Farm. December 22 is the last day for both displays. Holiday concerts and markets, museum events, Santa visits, reindeer barn tours, and more are also happening in the coming days and weeks!

SHOP LOCAL

Recent posts on the Visit Kenosha Blog feature three of the many shopping experiences you can have here. The third generation is now running RK News Hallmark, which has been a Kenosha staple since the 1950s. Sgt. Pickers is a unique vintage store that honors World War II veterans and celebrates timeless American craftsmanship. Donovan Scherer owns Studio Moonfall, which features local authors, and says “People coming from out of town always say that they wish they had a shop like Studio Moonfall back home.”

WINTER FUN

Today is opening day for Wilmot Mountain, which makes its own snow. Enjoy downhill skiing or snowboarding. Watch for the bubly Tubing Park to open later this month. Meanwhile, the 32-foot by 60-foot outdoor ice rink is set up at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Kenosha. Bring your own skates or check out free ice skates during posted rental hours. Both attractions are open weather permitting.
