Tis the Season?
Embrace Fun Health and Wellness Activities
With Family and Friends
Planned family holiday activities can be fun, promote excellent health and wellness lifestyle, and create amazing memories and traditions. GWWN shares excellent group activities that can be done yearly to fortify a family’s health and wellbeing, love, communication, and longevity. Now, let the memorable breathtaking, bonding, love, and adventures begin!
Everyone is welcome to dine with the family. Sharing with family during mealtimes can lead to health and wellness benefits. Based on various lifestyle and family involvement in various activities, this might seem impossible. However, it works when all parties agree. It can be achieved once a week. A table gathering works best, but a space where everyone is present also works. This is an opportunity to share insight about what each family member is doing, resolves problems, and builds stronger bonds, and unity.
Let’s cook dishes and bake up surprising treats. Planning and cooking nutritious meals, baking goods, and creating hot and cold beverages for family and friends is relaxing, skillful, and enjoyable.

Do more than selecting a holiday tree together to decorate. Here are a few of other traditional activities: bicycling, hiking, walking, and holiday decoration home tours (inside and outside). Touring some holiday decorated homes requires a fee. However, touring outside in neighborhoods, townships, and parks are free. Park your vehicle and walk. Touring can be done during the day and at night. Both views provide amazing and magnificent effects.
Visit a farm or a patch to pick directly from the vines or ground. Select your own fresh vegetables (corn, peas) and fruit (apples, grapes, and strawberries). Also tomatoes and pumpkins are fruit but can be cooked like a vegetable. These fruits and vegetables are fresher, more tasteful and loaded with flavor. This experience is not only fun, but you also provide an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate nature, farming, fresh air, and meet new people . One of the best benefits are the food nutrition.
Play basketball. This is a quality way to get your heart pumping and to raise companionship . Don’t have a hoop? No worries, use your creativity, get a bucket.
Soccer is another wellness game. Do you have enough space? You might have to find another location. This is a great activity for the entire family to participate. Get your full body workout!
Hula Hoop, get one that fits your body. You might need two sizes for a group and consider its weight. Stick with it. A few benefits are burning calories and improving your overall balance.
Hopscotch: A family affair. It can be played indoors. Can we move the game to another scenery? Yes, let’s take it outside with nature elements! Hopscotch promotes better balance and flexibility, lifts mood and might ward off pounds. “So, if you are not fond of doing planks, crunches and sit-ups, make sure that playing hopscotch is a part of your everyday agenda.” Source: — Healthdigezt.com "Health Digest Reasons Why Adults Should Play Hopscotch, Too".
Play Jacks. Yes, this game is still around. It is a great mental work out. Kids cognitive and STEM skills are sharpened. Adults, test your skills or support someone.

Tis the Season?
What Does it Means?
We heard "Tis the Season" phrase used many times and often during the Christmas Holiday season. Actually, the phrase can be used for all seasons expressing or emphasizing actions, an event, situation, or occasion. GWWN shares “Tis the Season” from a multipurpose perspective.
Tis the Season? Holidays Giving: Christmas and New Year
Christmas is noted as “tis the season".
Because it is a time of faith, hope and love, as well as giving, people expect miracles and supernatural goodness to occur in their lives. This season people give more than usual. Some people give from the heart because of their love and compassion, while others might give to expect something in return.
If we give expecting something in return, is it genuine giving? Actually, no, because it is not from the heart. However, if you are involved in a situation where gifts are expected to be exchanged, that is acceptable.
Achieve giving greatness by selecting items others would appreciate and can use. Allow your heart to speak to you regarding giving throughout the year and not only during the holiday seasons. Is it correct to ask a person what they would like as a gift? The occasion dedicates the answer; asking is certainly a way to get it right.
New Year is also "tis the season".
How so? It is a grand celebration! New Year is the time of the year when we ring out the old year to bring in the New Year.
Unrecognized, it involves giving. What does the New Year have to do with giving?
Here’s what. It is a gift of new beginning. We might host New Year parties for family and friends.
We make resolutions with expectations about what we want to do or receive. We want the New Year to be “giving” to us, to be successful in every aspect of our lives.
Do we start the New Year off pledging what we are going to give throughout the year? Can we think about changing the order a bit? Instead of starting the New Year with resolutions, why not start with the gift of “gratitude” and “thanksgiving.” We have many reasons to start there.
Giving is one of the better ways to help fulfill our purpose, improve our self-confidence, and wellbeing. We experience an indescribable "good feeling" when we give to others. Also, the receiver feels good and experiences joy.
Does giving have to be something large or impressive? No, it can be small. Sometimes the trivial things are more valuable and meaningful.
Further, in some situations, people may need your "labor of love" more than anything else. For example, commit to visiting just to listen and chat, writing letters, and running errands.

Tis the Season? Here is a universal wisdom poem. It applies to everyone.
"To Everything There is a Season"
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, And a time to die;
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up;
A time to weep, And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to gain, And a time to lose;
A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
A time to tear, And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
A time to love, And a time to hate;
A time of war, And a time of peace.
