Nurse Angie Shoener
Nurse Angie is the Coordinator of Student Health Services. She brings a holistic approach to nursing that addresses students' physical, educational, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. She earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing, School Nurse Certification, and Professional Educator’s License from the University of Illinois at Chicago. With 25 years of nursing experience, she has dedicated the last decade to serving as the school nurse at IMSA.

Nurse Lori Gordon
Nurse Lori's mission at IMSA is to deliver attentive healthcare, offer support, and educate students while inspiring everyone she encounters at the academy. She has extensive experience working as a registered nurse in various healthcare organizations. She holds an associate degree in nursing and a master’s degree in training and development, equipping her with a unique blend of clinical expertise and educational skills to support the IMSA community effectively.

Josiah Douglas
Mr. Josiah Douglas is a licensed and certified athletic trainer with extensive experience. He earned his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Aurora University and is completing a Master's in Sports Nutrition from Concordia Chicago University. Josiah brings over five years of experience as a collegiate Head Athletic Trainer specializing in injury prevention and rehabilitation. He is well-known among IMSA athletes for his exceptional ankle-taping skills. Now, in his second year as a Titan, Josiah combines his expertise in athletic training and sports nutrition to help athletes optimize their performance and health.

Did you know...
In addition to running the Health Office at IMSA, Nurse Angie also piloted a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program for IMSA students. Last year, a group of juniors and seniors received hands-on training and certification to become CNAs, allowing them to learn about patient care and jumpstart their medical education. Nurse Angie brings her wealth of medical knowledge and love for mentoring students to this unique and fulfilling program.
