Even during the summer, IMSA students are pursuing their passions and conducting research. Last week, you heard about rising juniors Alain and Kennedy and their work studying the sun's surface. They are just two out of 75 students continuing their research across the state. These opportunities were made possible by the Summer Research and Experiential Learning Opportunities (SRELO) Program. Here are a few more projects our students are working on this summer:
-
Juniors Molly Federici and Noah David are studying rare minerals at the Hicks Dome Intrusion in Hardin County, Illinois.
-
Neev Patel '25 is working with Neelyx Labs to study wastewater epidemiology.
-
Juniors Maneth Perera and Elsa Torres are spending their summer at Western Illinois University using radio astronomy techniques to help understand how stars are formed.
-
Seniors Alyssa Senese, Yash Yardi, and Netra Rameshbabu are learning about autonomous driving vehicles at the University of Illinois Chicago.
| | Dr. Glazer and Dr. Kapale (research advisor) enjoyed an evening of outdoor fun with the IMSA student research cohort at Western Illinois University last summer. |
|
The Parent Association Council (PAC) is hosting several regional picnics for parents and students to get to know other families from their region. Join current IMSA students and parents to learn more about IMSA and enjoy food and fun outdoors with your family!
