Connecting People to God's Grace

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Hello Titan Family,

Tonight is the first performance of the Middle School Musical. Everyone is invited/encouraged to attend. There will be another showing on Sunday at 1:30PM. Admission is FREE. Check out the Quick Highlights for some additional details.

Quick Highlights

  • Fryman Support - You may or may not be aware, but one of our Grace Moms, Stephanie Fryman, was recently diagnosed with cancer and has begun her treatment at the U of M. Many have been asking, "What can we do to support the Fryman family?" A meal train has been set up to help meet their basic needs throughout the first rounds of treatment. If you would like to support in this way, here is the LINK. Additionally there is a group of Grace Moms who have been gathering every Friday morning to pray. Anyone is welcome to join them. Our prayer is that God would hold this family tight throughout this trial, surround them with support, and bless them in ways they never imagined.

  • Kamp Kaos - The students are working hard to put the finishing touches on the middle school musical! Performances are tonight (3/7) at 6PM and Sunday (3/9) at 1:30PM. Admission is free and open to the public. The performance will take place in the Grace Athletic Center (gym).
  • We will be recording the performance and will make it available to families as a keepsake after it has been edited together.
  • During the performance on Friday we will be having a Bake Sale put together by 2nd Grade and Preschool to support the Fryman Family. Follow the signs to the Fellowship Hall to find a variety of sweet treats.

  • Silver Harbor Give Back Night - Next Tuesday (3/11) you are invited to join your Titan Family for dinner at Silver Harbor Brewing Company. A portion of all the sales between 4PM and 9PM will go to support the School Library. SHBC is owned and operated by Grace Parents Mike and Jamie Gross who are huge supporters of Christian Education and Titan Nation!

  • No School 3/14 - Just a reminder that there is no school next Friday (3/14). This is a day set aside for the professional development of our Education Team. Please note that earlier calendars that may still be floating around out there listed a different date for this No School event, but March 14th is the correct day. We WILL have school on March 21st which is also Muffins with Moms day.

  • Family Dinner and a Movie Day - Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a Family Dinner and a Movie Night on Friday, March 14 at 6PM. The movie is Arthur the King based on a true story. We will serve supper (subs, chips, fruit, and drink). Popcorn will be available as well. You are welcome to make a freewill donation to offset some of the expenses, but that is not required. Come and join us and bring a friend. For planning purposes we ask that everyone RSVP by 3/12. Click Here for more details and to RSVP.

  • Really Cool Bonus Movie Opportunity - On Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 Grace Lutheran Church has rented a theatre at Celebration Cinema for the viewing of One by One - a true story based on the life of David Rosenau, who grew up at Grace while his father served as a pastor here for several years. Many of the events from the movie took place right here in SWMI. David went from life as a mortician at Starks to an undercover narcotics agent and ultimately decided to become a pastor and lead people to Jesus. FREE tickets to these showings are available through THIS LINK. Space is limited. We hope you'll come - and bring a friend. Fun Fact: Mrs. Beilke and I had David Rosenau in some of our classes at Martin Luther College when he was training to be a pastor. I remember him as the guy with the brief case and shiny black shoes.

Check out the rest of the Titan Times for details on the other events and activities on the horizon!

Have a blessed week,

Mr. Beilke
