Hello Grace Family!
It's hard to believe that we have made it to the last week of school! Your support throughout this year has been phenomenal and we are looking to end this year on a high note.
This week there are several classes going on field trips highlighted by the big Christian Apologetics trip that the 7th and 8th Graders are going on to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter (Monday to Wednesday). Thank you to everyone who supported them through generous donations. I'm looking forward to them having this experience that will last a lifetime.
On Thursday we will have our Graduation Service and Awards Night. The graduation worship service will begin at 6:30 PM followed immediately by the Awards Night portion of the evening. We will also have time to thank Miss Doletzky and Mr. Rider for their faithful service at Grace. All of the students are working on songs to sing during this service. During the Awards Night portion of the evening the Kindergarten students will receive their diplomas. Afterward there will be cake served by the faculty.
The LAST DAY OF SCHOOL will be a little different this year. We will start the day with chapel at 8:15. Then from 9:00 - 10:30 AM the students will clean-up their lockers, desks, and classrooms. At 10:30 they will head outside for one final Titan Tribe Activity (Young 5s are invited to attend). There will be a special treat from PIE and then at 11:45AM we will have a clap out for the 8th Graders and dismiss the students for Summer Break. The end of the year picnic that usually takes place the last day of school is being moved to July 28th. More details to come.
This weekend there are a couple of events to keep on your radar.
1) The Prism Concert will take place at Michigan Lutheran High School at 6:30 PM. This is a variety show highlighting the musical talents of the students at ML. More info can be found in the flyer below.
2) Titan Toss is scheduled for Sunday at 1PM. This is a Corn Hole (Bean Bag Toss) fundraiser for Grace. Anyone can participate. For more information or to sign-up, please see the links below! Last year the tournament was won by local radio celebrity Matt Malone and his partner. Contact Board of Ed Chairman, Ben Elder ([email protected]), if you are still searching for a partner.
Finally as we look at wrapping up the 22-23 School Year we would love to get your feedback. What do you LOVE about Grace and what can we improve. If you would be so kind as to complete this brief survey, we would greatly appreciate it. The Board of Education will review the results as we work to make plans for next year.
