IMSAloquium is an annual public celebration in which over 275 students from the Student Inquiry and Research, Business Internship, and Independent Studies Programs present their completed and ongoing research.
Bethany E. Perez White, Ph.D., will give this year’s keynote address. Dr. Perez White is a professor from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago and is the Associate Director of Skin Tissue Engineering and Morphology (STEM) Core.

The upcoming break is a great time for students to start bringing home any items they won’t need for the rest of the semester. A little prep work now can make move-out easier later!
If you have any questions about move-out procedures, please reach out to Student Affairs or your RC.

| | Where to Get Help at IMSA | |
As a boarding environment, IMSA acts more like a college than a local community high school. We're actually part of the higher education system, falling under the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE). Knowing students are away from home, it can feel challenging to navigate the system, given that it's different from K-12, and students aren't seeing their parents each night. It's important to know both who to reach out to for help and who to turn to if you're not getting the support you need.
My suggestion is that you first reach out to your RC for questions and concerns related to residential life, and your CAC for questions and concerns regarding your academic life. IMSA has many departments and services, however, those colleagues are a good starting point for guidance. Additionally, students can request an adult advocate to help them navigate opportunities and challenges at IMSA. They serve as a personal coach.
If you are seeking support for a very specific question or concern, it's helpful to have a contact list. Please use this webpage for specialized questions and needs. Should you engage someone on this list, please keep your RC, CAC and advocate aware as they are looking out for your overall welfare and success at IMSA.
