| | Igniting and Inspiring Colleagues at IMSA | | IMSA's mission to "ignite and nurture creative, ethical and scientific minds that advance the human condition" isn't exclusive to students. The faculty and staff actively develop new ideas related to education, residence life, technology and their subject matter expertise. During the Fall Break, we held our Inspire and Ignite symposium for colleagues to present recent and emerging work connected to their passions. Check out the program, and don't hesitate to reach out to our colleagues to inquire more. It was exciting for me to learn about the depth of thinking and innovation from our faculty and staff, and a reminder that curiosity comes first. |

Alumni Awards
Before students departed for Fall Break, IMSA recognized this year’s Board of Trustees Alumni Award recipients:
- Titan Award – Dion Steele ’89
- Distinguished Leadership Award – Captain Brent Spillner ’95
- Distinguished Leadership Award – Dr. Michael Ombrello ’93
- Trailblazer Award – Katlyn J Gao ’97
These remarkable alumni took time to speak with our students, sharing their journeys before and after IMSA and the valuable insights they gained along the way.
A heartfelt thank you to the Cathy Veal Endowment for Recognition of Alumni, which makes it possible to bring these alumni back to empower the next generation of innovators. Watch the full ceremony here.
