The County’s active commitment to Title VI compliance requires intentional, consistent, and fully integrated strategies to ensure every department’s programs, activities and services are planned and delivered in a manner that promotes engagement and enables meaningful access by all individuals in our community. In our roles, we must be aware of our individual and shared responsibilities to comply with implementing the Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners and applicable Federal law.

The Title VI employee online training course is part of the countywide efforts to comply with and meet federal Title VI expectations. In addition to general Title VI definitions and general information, this training course features real County staff with examples of translated critical documents, verbal language translation services through 3-1-1, and the positive impact these efforts have on our residents. 

Given the importance of Orange County’s Title VI initiatives, the training course is required for all staff. The course is available now in myOCLearn. The deadline to complete is December 31, 2024.  Thank you for your support!
