 Happy New Year!
A Note from the Editor...
Here it is another new year.  So many of us make new year resolutions.  It's always good to strive to do better, but it doesn't have to be so
hard.  Just resolve to take one day at a time and do your very best.  Then that list of changes will happen in time. Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Titusville 150th Anniversary Celebration
March 19-26, 2017     Founded in 1867 and named Titusville after Confederate Col. Henry Theodore Titus, our great city has come a long ways these past 150 years!

We will kick off the new year at the Downtown Titusville Friday Night Live event, January 13, 2017.  Mayor Walt Johnson will give a proclamation announcing the sesquicentennial and will open the time capsule that was filled 50 years ago.  Also in January, an Anniversary Tree will be planted at the Pritchard House.

A week long celebration will begin Sunday, March 19th with a VIP Party at the historic Pritchard House.  During the week there will be historical lectures and presentations, downtown walking tours, plays, family fun run, bicycle events, a parade and will culminate on Sunday, March 26th with a good old fashion community picnic at Sand Point Park with food, fun, entertainment and games.

At the July 4th celebration, we will refill the time capsule with items recommended by the community and placed back on its shelf at City Hall.

We invite community organizations and businesses to do their own celebrations throughout the year.  List your events with GTR and you can use the official anniversary logo and we will help promote your event.
