Dearest ones,
I first and foremost want to thank so many of you for your lovely messages regarding my departure from St. Andrew's and Bethlehem. They have given me so much peace, as the past few weeks and months have been filled with a great deal of angst in sharing this news with you. Thank you for your grace, memories and well wishes. I hear there is going to be a party on November 27th at Bethlehem at 11:30 am and I hope every single one of you can make it!
Secondly, I'm happy to share that our very own Heather Lawrence will be filling in as our Youth Director in this interim time before Mother Brenda and Pastor Laura can form a search team. Heather will join us at High School Youth Group next Wednesday, November 16th for the youth to get to know her a bit better!
This week our Gospel text of Five Loaves and Two Fish reminds us of how abundant God's love and care for us is. God doesn't just provide us with enough (love, grace, forgiveness, etc.) to scrape by on, God gives us all of that, and like in the story, there's even more left over. I pray we find joy in our God of abundance and in turn, share that abundance of love, grace, and mercy with ALL people.
