6th Sunday of Easter (A) | May 17, 2020
Do you ever find it difficult to talk with others about your Christian faith? Do you find that when the conversation turns to religion, people tend to get defensive or even argumentative? St. Peter has some wonderful words of wisdom for us in this Sunday's second reading. " Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence... " (1 Pt 3:15). We reflect on the meaning of this verse in our video for this Sunday.

In Christ's Peace,
Deacon Matt
Celebrating our Seniors
This past Monday evening we hosted a Zoom meeting to celebrate our seniors and bid them farewell with our virtual "Senior Send-off." One of our students (thanks, Nelliza!) put together a video slide-show of some memories that I'm delighted to share. Congratulations again to our graduates. You know the doors of CCM are always open any time you are in Cullowhee!
Welcoming our Freshmen
As all freshmen and transfer orientations will be happening online this summer, we are also reaching out online to connect with new students. We've created a special page with a registration link for new students to introduce themselves to us, and a video discussion with some of our student leaders to introduce our ministry to them. We invite you to take a look and please share with any student you know who is starting classes at WCU in the fall.

This Week on YouTube
Deacon Matt's talking about...
This week on our YouTube channel, Deacon Matt is talking about the three orders that constitute the Sacrament of Holy Orders -- deacons, priests and bishops. What are the different roles these offices play in the life of the Church?

Is there a topic you'd like Deacon Matt to discuss? Let us know!
Online Small Groups
Our students are enjoying their on-line Bible study small groups so much they don't want to stop! We're happy to announce that they plan to continue to meet over the summer, and new students are invited to join in.
