Some problems are so complex that you have to be highly intelligent and well informed just to be undecided about them.

Laurence J. Peter

Doors are opening back up and people are walking back into stores, restaurants, salons, bars & retail locations that have been closed for the past two months. Some shudder at the thought of being in close proximity to another human that lives outside their household. Others are rejoicing about face-to-face human connection and restoring what we know as "normal". No matter the choices that are being made, we must remember that every step forward is just that: a choice.

Our local government has made no indication that they will reinstate or enforce a safer at home order. That means the decision to adhere to CDC guidelines and navigate this season passes to you, the individual. In our community we have seen an increase in PPE being distributed and utilized by business owners, employees and customers. Plexi-glass is EVERYWHERE!
Our amazing little town is working hard to ensure that everyone has a safe place to live, work, learn & play.

We may not be forced to stay apart, but we are still in this together!

The Elkhorn Chamber is happy and nervous to report that we are busy steering this ship straight into event season. Saturdays on the Square are set to kick-off June 6th (fingers crossed) followed by the 2nd Annual Food Truck Festival which will take place June 20th. The chamber staff have been in conversation with local authorities to ensure that we host these events appropriately for the general public to attend. We still have decisions to be make and hurdles to leap over as these events push closer. Please s tay tuned...

We thank each of you for your efforts to support, sustain and be safe in our community and surrounding areas. You really are doing the hard work to keep friends, family and co-workers safe.

Keep smiling, keep sanitizing and stay well!
