Christmas Tree Drop-off
The Town's Christmas Tree Drop-off is available this year at the upper area of the Milton Road Ball Field. If you had a real Christmas tree, you can dispose of it at the drop-off location until, January 20, 2019. Please note that trees must be unwrapped and free of hooks, ornaments, and nails. Trees dropped off to the field are mulched and recycled for use in gardens and open spaces.
Recreation Program Registration
The Town offers a wide range of community programs and services for families and residents of all ages. Here are some of the fun recreational programs that we have to offer this winter:

New this winter is our Puddle Ducks Outdoor Parent and Tot Program. Inspired by the philosophies of Forest School, Puddle Ducks is a Caregiver and Child Program for families of children 18 months - 5 years old. The program includes games, stories and inspiration for outdoor play experiences that parents and caregivers can use year round. This 12-week program begins January 22, 2019 and takes place on Peter Barry Duff Memorial Park grounds every Tuesday and Thursday this winter. Register online only beginning 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14.

Also returning this winter are other programs including Arts, Crafts and More, Brighter Futures and our regular Parent & Tot Program. Learn more about each on our website.
If you're a member of our thriving 50+ community get ready for a season of fun programs! Registration for our seniors' programs opens at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14 and is available online or in person at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. Choose from shuffle board, bowling and bean bag, or pay a single membership fee for all three. You can also join us for Adult Walking at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. For more info, visit our website or email.

There's still time to register for our Youth Dance and Youth in the Kitchen programs. Registration is available online only until the programs are full. Learn more about these programs and all of our other youth activities and amenities on our Youth page.
Annual Donation Program
Did you know your community group or organization may be eligible for a donation from the Town? The Town of Paradise is proud to support our community organizations. We created this program to ensure fair and equitable donations are made to all eligible applicants. With the Annual Donation Program, community groups and organizations can apply for a one-time donation to support their activities and programs.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Program. Full program details and application forms are available on the website. Applications must be received by March 29, 2019. To be eligible to apply, community service groups and organizations must operate within the Town of Paradise and support or contribute to the general well-being of residents in the Town. This program is not open to national and international registered charities

Get involved in our Recycling Program!
Recycling is encouraged in the Town of Paradise. Recycling is easy and has a positive impact on the environment. To get started simply sort your paper products into one blue bag and your containers in another. Cardboard can be placed in a blue bag or broken down and bundled (bundles shouldn't measure more than 2ftx2ftx1ft). No need to remove labels on your containers, just rinse them and remove caps before recycling (milk cartons belong in your container bag). You can also go green by dropping off your old cell phones and their accessories at the Paradise Town Hall or the Paradise Double Ice Complex.

Please note that see-through blue bags must be used for recycling. Place recyclables loosely in the blue bags. On collection days, place your bags of recyclables out at the curb, uncovered, and outside of your wheeled garbage cart. Let's all do our part and recycle! For tips and information, visit Paradise.ca/Recycle.

Did you know recycling reduces fees at the landfill? A gate or tipping fee is the charge levied upon a given quantity of waste received at a waste processing facility. The tipping fee at Robin Hood Bay for garbage is $67/tonne, with recycling costing only $20/tonne.
