ACAN Property Demolition 
The Town has approved an application for demolition of the property at 1641 Topsail Rd, the ACAN building. Demolition is expected to begin in February, and will make way for redevelopment of the site. Fencing has been placed around the area to control loose debris and prevent public access during demolition.
Good Deeds Cup
The Paradise Peewee B Warriors are one of ten Chevrolet Canada Good Deeds Cup semi-finalists and they need your vote! Chevrolet Canada's Good Deeds Cup is awarded to teams who perform impressive good deeds in their community. The top three semi-finalist teams with the most views over the two-week period will become the Good Deeds Cup Finalists, each taking home $3,000 to a charity of their choice. The winner of the Good Deeds Cup wins $15,000 for charity, a Ceremony in their hometown, a feature on television and a summer skate with Chevrolet Hockey Ambassadors. Municipal Plan Public Meeting
An amendment to the St. John's Urban Region Regional Plan was adopted by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment on December 18, 2017. The purpose of this amendment is to align Regional Plan land re-designations with the Town's new Municipal Plan & Development Regulations. A list of re-designations can be found on our website. A public hearing to consider representations is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Rotary Paradise Community Centre. Copies of the proposed amendments are available at the Town Hall, from January 19 to February 5, 2018. For more information, please visit our website.

The Town of Paradise has an app for that... The mobile app for Paradise, powered by Pingstreet, provides residents with real-time access to helpful information and engaging tools. The app leverages existing data maintained on the website, making information more accessible to residents is streamlined and efficient. Current features include Garbage and Recycling Program schedules, news and info, upcoming events, and the ability to report a problem, or contact the Town. 2018 Property Taxes
The 2018 property tax bills have been mailed to all residents. Payment is required by February 28, and any balances owing after that date, are charged interest for the full month of February. Residents can opt to make payments in a variety of methods: preauthorized debit, e-services, post-dated cheques, online banking, through your mortgage, cheque, debit or cash. Payments by credit card are not accepted. Residents 60 years of age or older are eligible for a 10 percent seniors discount.  For complete information, please visit our website .
Winter Safety: Be Plow Aware
With the winter season in full swing the Town is reminding all residents of safe practices when snow clearing equipment is in your area. Please keep a safe distance from all operating equipment, and remember that approaching an operator who is in the process of snow clearing presents a serious safety hazard. Parents are also asked to ensure children play safe and stay off road-side snow banks or anywhere snow clearing equipment may be in operation.
