Reflection
I have been in many rooms when I stop to think about it. Different shapes, different sizes. We served in the UK for a number of years where there were magnificent rooms in grand mansions of another era. We served in Papua New Guinea – a room very different.
Let’s go in our thinking and prayer to the Upper Room where Jesus met with His disciples. According to Scripture, the Upper Room is where the Last Supper took place. It’s where Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. And where Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection.
The Upper Room is a place of prayer, refreshment, renewal, and rejuvenation.
I have been sensing for some time that the World Prayer Assembly (WPA) in Perth from October 3–6 is going to be an Upper Room experience. We are going to meet with Jesus. We are going to further usher in the waves of glory. I am believing that the Holy Spirit will be poured out.
I believe that the Holy Spirit is poured out so that we may be sent out.
In Acts 1:8 we read the great verse:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Let me emphasise that the WPA is a prayer assembly. It is not a conference of speakers as such, although there will be speakers. It’s a gathering to worship and pray for the nations of the world at this time. Register here.
Please pray for us who will be privileged to gather and as you pray for the WPA, pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days that will see many saved and prodigals returned. May you each experience anew the Upper Room for such a time as this.
