Giving Tuesday: Make a Year End Contribution

Dear Andrea,

Every year on Giving Tuesday, Brookline comes together to show that kindness and generosity are strong traits in our human nature. It is the biggest giving day of the year, a time of reflection and care, bringing hope, optimism, and practical help to those in need.

We continue to build an organization focused on creating and preserving affordable housing in Brookline, leading to the economic empowerment of historically disadvantaged neighbors.

The Brookline Community Development Corporation is working to make Brookline a more inclusive community. To date, we have assisted over 60 Brookline residents facing eviction and will support many more families during the next several months. In addition to this, we hosted a holiday drive for 400 children, co-organized two home-buyer classes and a financial literacy program for low-income residents.

We are asking today that you make a year-end contribution to support our ongoing work. While a gift in any amount is impactful, The Massachusetts Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program entitles people who make a contribution of $1,000 or more on or before December 31st, to receive 50% of their gift back when filing their 2024 state income tax. Learn more about the Community Investment Tax Credit.

This year, please include Brookline Community Development Corporation in your Giving Tuesday donations.

Thank you!
