Burhop's shrimp, or other party trays, are the perfect appetizer before a giant Thanksgiving meal - not too filling, absolutely delicious, incredibly popular with the guests! Bring one to your hostess, you'll be invited back every year. Or wow them with fresh oysters - or a selection of our tasty spreads. WILD, FRESH ALASKAN HALIBUT -
END OF SEASON
Wild, mild and tasty - the halibut season has been longer this year because of mild weather in Alaska - but this is it for the year, so get it while you can - there will be some California halibut during the winter, but Alaskan won;t be back till spring. While supplies last.
WILD CAUGHT CHILEAN SEA BASS

Fresh, tasty Chilean sea bass, delicious grilled or baked. Try it with one of our marinades, or top with a thin layer of one of Jaime's great pestos. Ask us for ideas! Chili bass is a meaty fish, don't overcook or it can get tough.
NORWEGIAN STEELHEAD TROUT

A great substitute for salmon during the winter months - this is from the fjords of Norway, where it's raised in a natural environment. Steelhead are rainbow trout that have learned to live in salt water and return to fresh water for spawning. Unlike salmon, it doesn't die, it lives to procreate again and again.

These are so good that Jaime has to hide them from me if he makes them while I'm in the store - I'll eat them all. Roasted in our oven with olive oil, herbs and spices, just warm them up and serve with your favorite fish. (Also great with turkey!)

In late August we had the pleasure of providing a lobster boil to three appreciative Hinsdale couples - we supplied all the food, cooked and ready to eat, they supplied the flowers, plates and beverages.
According to the hostess:
"It was perfect! Everything was cooked perfectly the portions were perfect! So easy and so fun! Garlic butter was delicious and the bread for dipping, mussels and clams for extra seafood, slaw was good and lobsters were meaty."
We have multiple options for Lobster Boil parties - we bring everything to you ready to eat, we cook it all and you pick it up, or one of our chefs will come and prepare it for you on site. Prices vary, depending on your choice of cooking venue. We also have shellfish shears that you can borrow, for a deposit which is refunded when shears are returned.

BRANZINO/MEDITERRANEAN SEA BASS

Known in France and the British Isles as Loup de Mer or European sea bass, branzino is the Italian name for the same fish, caught in the Mediterranean and the waters off the English coast. Branzino is also one of the most successfully farmed fish in Europe. If you've never tried it, we couldn't recommend it more - mild and nutty-flavored, it lends itself to simple preparations, such as a quick saute in olive oil and topped with herb butter or some of our Lemon Dill Sauce. Also great baked with a sprinkling of dried herbs - ask us for suggestions.
