Today, March 13, 2018, is National Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C. that is organized by Americans for the Arts each year.  There are five of us from Florida who will meet with staff of some of Florida's members of Congress today to ask for their support of a  number of issuesSeventeen (1 7) issues are listed; however, our focus in our brief face-to-face congressional-office meetings today will be on issues 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, and 14.

Will you speak up today to   Florida's two U.S. Senators and Your U.S. Representative  (Excel file) to thank them for their support of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the NEA grants that are awarded each year in Florida that total over $2 million annually in matching grants?  L et them know it's Arts Advocacy Day in DC and that you want to thank them for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the NEA grants invested in Florida each year.

Please ask for their continued leadership to preserve and fund the NEA.

If you're not sure who your U.S. Representative is in Congress, go here.

The Florida Cultural Alliance developed a web page of information that we'll use in our congressional-office visits today.  We encourage you to review this list of ten items and use the information in your advocacy efforts related to federal issues that matter to you; your organization; and Florida's arts, arts education, and culture industry.

Thank you graphic
