Today, Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County joins the United Nations and the Snohomish County Council in celebrating World Habitat Day. Join us as we raise awareness, educate, and mobilize our community to take action on the current global housing crisis.
Decent housing removes barriers to health, success and opportunity. Families all across the United States are paying too high a price for housing. Nearly 1 in 6 families in the U.S. are severely cost burdened by their housing costs, forcing them to cut essential parts of their budget like healthcare, education, food or transportation.
On this year’s World Habitat Day, add your voice to ours as we work to fulfill our vision – every person in our County having a decent place to live.
Here's how you can help:
- Shop or donate furniture or materials in The Habitat Store this week
- Sign up to volunteer at our stores or main office
- Make a $20 donation today to directly support or efforts
Finally, please post your support of affordable housing by using the hashtag #WorldHabitatDay, and follow our social media accounts on
to stay informed on Habitat for Humanity’s work in Snohomish County.
