Encore Productions presents A Tuna Christmas at the Elbert Theatre

news@wsgcradio.com – As part of the 2025 theatrical season, Encore Productions will present A Tuna Christmas this weekend at the Elbert Theatre.

The hilarious comedy is directed by Bob Larson and stars Ricky Eberhardt and Justin Mitchell, who play over ten characters each, requiring lightning fast wardrobe changes throughout the play.

According to the synopsis, it’s Christmas in the third-smallest town in Texas - the town of Tuna. Radio Station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of A Christmas Carol is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many other colorful Tuna citizens join in the holiday fun, again, all played by Eberhardt and Mitchell.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and there is a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door. Call 706-213-3109 or email tking@cityofelberton.net to reserve tickets. Tickets may also be purchased online at bigtickets.com
