A 12-year journey culminates for Elbert County seniors tonight in the Granite Bowl as commencement exercises mark the end of one stage of their lives and at the same time begins another.

Some will continue their education while others will move directly into the work force. Some will choose to serve their country, many of those having participated in the school's JROTC program. For each one of them, it will be a night they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Graduation ceremonies will take place tonight, May 26, 2023 at the Granite Bowl. Each graduating senior has been issued 12 tickets to distribute to family and friends to attend and no one will be permitted to enter without a ticket.

Gates will open for visitors at approximately 6:30 p.m. No one will have permission to reserve seats prior to 6:30 p.m.

There are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces at the Granite Bowl. The home side of the Granite Bowl offers easy seating for handicapped individuals.

After the Graduation Ceremony, parents, guardians, and family members will be allowed to take pictures on the Granite Bowl field until 9:30 p.m.

105.3 WSGC radio will broadcast the graduation ceremony live for those who are unable to attend.
