We welcome everyone to our service and hope you are blessed by worshipping with us.

Opening Words

Shared by Pastor Ken

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called to create a world where every person is radically affirmed, and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Call to Worship ~ Judy Schwiebert

One: In hope, in longing,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In trust, in community,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In many moods, in many shapes and sizes,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In peace, in joy,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In solidarity with those who struggle,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In resistance to those who dominate,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In memory of Jesus, who lived with compassion,

All: We’re glad to come together.

One: In assurance that we belong here,

All: We’re glad to come together this Easter season.

Singing Our Faith ~ Draw the Circle Wide

by Ruth C. Duck and Jim Strethdee

Chorus

Draw the circle wide. Draw it wider still.

Let this be our song, no one stands alone,

standing side by side – Draw the circle wide.

God the stillpoint of the circle, round whom all creation turns.

Nothing lost but held forever, in God’s gracious arms.

Chorus

Let our hearts touch far horizons, so encompass great and small.

Let our loving know no borders, faithful to God’s call!

Chorus

Let the dreams we dream

be larger than we’ve ever dreamed before.

Let the dream of Christ be in us, open every door.

Chorus

Draw the circle wide. Draw it wider still.

Let this be our song, no one stands alone,

standing side by side – Draw the circle wide.

Opening Prayer ~ Pastor Ken

 Celebrations ~ Pastor Ken

Invitation to Give ~ Judy Schwiebert

God of splendor, your goodness sustains us,

and your graciousness gives us hope.

Use us and these gifts to further your way

of love, hope, and justice.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

The Chime Calls Us to The Word About Life

Word About Life ~ Pastor Ken

Words for Mission ~ Judy Schwiebert

One: Hold in your heart the certainty that the spirit of life is

with you always.

All: When our hearts are torn asunder or when we soar

with sweet joy, we are never alone, never apart from

the spirit that resides within us, that guides our lives

and cherishes us always.

One: These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: May God be with you.

All: And also with you.

One: Amen.

All: Amen.

Sending Forth Song ~ Companions on the Journey

by Carey Landry

Chorus

We are companions on our journey,

Breaking bread and sharing life.

In the love we bear is the hope we share

For we believe in the love of our God.

Yes, we believe in the love of our God.

1. No longer strangers to each other,

No longer strangers in God’s house,

We are blest and we are nourished,

By the love we all can share.

Chorus

2. Although the journey may be rocky,

Although the way’s not always clear,

We will share God’s love a-plenty,

With all people far and near.

Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.

This is a time to talk about the message and explore together using the ORID Art Form Conversation methodology. What is ORID? It stands for Observation, Reflection, Interpretation, and Decision. You will get the hang of it.
