We welcome everyone to our service and hope you are blessed by worshipping with us.

Opening Words

Shared by Lois Beberniss

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called to create a world where every person is radically affirmed, and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

GATHERING WITH HOPE

Call to Worship ~ Shared by Judy Schwiebert

One:  God loves the field mouse.

All:   God loves the crows that take flight when church bells ring.

One:  God loves the baby, cooing in the back pew.

All:   God loves the child who rocks and claps.

One:  God loves the one with wrinkled hands and soft eyes. All:   God loves the bumblebees and the tabby cats. One:  God loves those who walk, crawl, and roll.

All:   God loves the giant oaks, the evergreens, and the saguaro cactus standing strong over all of us. One:  God loves the young, the impressionable, and the earnest.

All:   There is no bit of creation that God does not love.

One:  So let us worship this good-news God!

All:   Amen.

Singing Our Faith ~  All Things Bright and Beautiful     Text by Cecil F. Alexander (Traditional Tune)

All things bright and beautiful,

all creatures great and small,

all things wise and wonderful:

the Lord God made them all.

1. Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings,   God made their glowing colors, and made their tiny wings.   Chorus

2. The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun,   The ripe fruits in the garden: God made them every one.   Chorus

3. God gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell,   How great is God Almighty, who has made all things well.   Chorus

Opening Prayer ~ Judy Schwiebert

Almighty God, who are mother and father to us all,

Look upon your planet Earth divided.

Help us to know that we are all your children,

That all nations belong to one great family,

And that all of our religions lead to you.

Multiply our prayers in every land,

Until the whole Earth becomes your congregation,

United in your love.

Sustain our vision of a peaceful future,

And give us strength to work unceasingly

To make that vision real.

All:   Amen.

LISTENING WITH HOPE

Celebrations ~ Lois Beberness

This is our time to share the celebrations of our lives: birthdays, anniversaries, words of kindness and works of peace and justice.

Music for Thinking of You Cards ~ Shared by Tanner Bayles

Invitation to Give ~ Led by Judy Schwiebert

Let our gratitude for life be expressed in our generosity.

Let our faith be expressed in good causes.

Let our belief in the future find full expression in our daily attitude of mind.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

SCATTERING WITH HOPE

Words for Mission ~ Led by Judy Schwiebert

One:  Friends, may you be blessed with the growing edge of the Spirit.

All:   At this edge, hope emerges alive and dissipates all despair.

One:  Let us forage for such grace in the most forgotten places. Let us find in relationship all we thought we had lost. All:   And as we go forth from this space, may we take with us the medicines of compassion and service to make the world a more just place for all.

One: These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: May God be with you.

All: And also with you.

One: Amen.

All: Amen.

Sending Forth Song ~ No Matter Who                         by Roger Miller

No matter who, no matter what

No matter where you are on the journey of life.

You’re welcome, welcome here in this place.

No matter who, no matter what

No matter where you are on the journey of life

Accepted, welcomed by God’s grace.

1. For we are family,

meant to be

Purposed for eternity

Born in love,

from above;

God’s community.   Chorus

2. And in diversity,

unity,

Harmony for all to see

Justice and equality;

God’s community.   Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.
