Welcome and Announcements

Shared by Pastor Ken

Opening Words

Shared by Pastor Ken

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called to create a world where every person is radically affirmed and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Entry Into Spiritual Community

Led by Greg Freeman

One: From the corners of this city, from the confusion of life, and from the loneliness of our hearts,

All: Gather us, O God.

One: To feed our minds, to fire our imagination, to free our hearts,

All: Gather us, O God.

Singing Our Welcome ~ We Are the Family

Please stand in mind, body, or spirit

We are the family and we are the home,

We are the mountain where love can be known.

We are the voices and we are the hands

For bringing peace to our land. (Repeat)

1. And in our family all are welcome,

Doesn’t matter who you are,

In our home there’s always room

So plan to stay.

On our mountain where we labor

There’s much work that’s left to do,

And your talents would be helpful if you stay.

Chorus

2. And in our family ev’ry nation,

Ev’ry planet, ev’ry race,

Ev’ryone is always welcome to our home.

And with our voices let us tell you

That we mean just what we say,

And with our hands united, let us pray.

Chorus

Celebrations For the Deep Goodness of Life

Led by Pastor Ken

This is our time to share the celebrations of our lives: birthdays, anniversaries, words of kindness and works of peace and justice.

Music for Thinking of You Cards ~

Shared by Tanner Bayles

In the pew racks are cards with the title “Thinking Of You”. Please use these cards to write a note to someone so they know they are remembered and cared for. Put the card in the offering plate when it comes by, and the church office will forward the cards to the person addressed on the card. This was one of the elements of our time together that you lifted up as important for all of us.

Thank you!

Invitation to Give ~

Led by Greg Freeman

We look for a gentler humanity, a kinder world:

with our money and with our hearts, with our minds and with every good intention,

let this be our prayer.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

Sending Forth

Led by Greg Freeman

Please stand in mind, body, or spirit

One: Let us take on this week’s life with renewed hope and

imagination...

May we leave this place seeking an uncharted,

but freely chosen, way to wholeness

All: Knowing we have companions along the way.

One: These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: May God be with you.

All: And also with you.

One: Amen.

All: Amen.

Sending Forth Songs ~ We Are Companions On The Journey by Carey Landry

We are companions on our journey,

Breaking bread and sharing life.

In the love we bear is the hope we share,

For we believe in the love of our God.

Yes, we believe in the love of our God.

1. No longer strangers to each other,

No longer strangers in God’s house;

We are blest and we are nourished

By the love we all can share.

Chorus

2. Although the journey may be rocky,

Although the way’s not always clear;

We will share God’s love a plenty,

With all people far and near.

Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.

This is a time to talk about the message and explore together using the ORID Art Form Conversation methodology. What is ORID? It stands for Observation, Reflection, Interpretation, and Decision. You will get the hang of it.
