Welcome and Announcements

Shared by Lois Beberniss

Opening Words

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called to create a world where every person is radically affirmed and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Entry Into Spiritual Community

Led by Roy Zaborowski

One: Today, we are on the edge of a new season that

promises cooler temperatures.

All: We give thanks for the opportunity we have

to worship, celebrate this day, and drink

coffee on our patios.

One: May we be surrounded by a very real sense of

beauty and the sacred as we spend this time

together.

Singing Our Faith ~ All Are Welcome

by Marty Haugen

Let us build a house where love can dwell

And all can safely live,

A place where saints and children tell

How hearts learn to forgive.

Built of hopes and dreams and visions,

Rock of faith and vault of grace;

Here the love of Christ shall end divisions;

All are welcome, all are welcome,

All are welcome in this place.

Let us build a house where prophets speak,

And words are strong and true,

Where all God's children dare to seek

To dream God's reign anew.

Here the cross shall stand as witness

And a symbol of God's grace;

Here as one we claim the faith of Jesus:

All are welcome, all are welcome,

All are welcome in this place.

Let us build a house where love is found

In water, wine and wheat:

A banquet hall on holy ground,

Where peace and justice meet.

Here the love of God, through Jesus,

Is revealed in time and space;

As we share in Christ the feast that frees us:

All are welcome, all are welcome,

All are welcome in this place.

Opening Prayer ~ Somewhere, Someone

Led by Roy Zaborowski

One: The way of love is coming because:

All: somewhere someone is kind when others are

unkind,

somewhere someone shares with another in

need,

somewhere someone refuses to hate, while

others hate,

somewhere someone is patient - and waits in

love,

somewhere someone returns good for evil,

somewhere someone serves another, in love,

somewhere someone is calm in a storm,

somewhere someone is loving everybody.

One: Spirit of Life and Love, help us to be that someone.

All: Amen.

Music for Thinking of You Cards ~

Shared by Tanner Bayles

In the pew racks are cards with the title “Thinking Of You”. Please use these cards to write a note to someone so they know they are remembered and cared for. Put the card in the offering plate when it comes by, and the church office will forward the cards to the person addressed on the card. This was one of the elements of our time together that you lifted up as important for all of us.

Thank you!

Invitation to Give ~

Shared by Roy Zaborowski

May our hearts be opened, our hands unclenched,

and our ears unclogged, that we may

feel and touch and taste and see

the breath and play of Creativity God around us.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

Words for Mission

Led by Roy Zaborowski

One: May God the starmaker cradle and circle you.

May God the storyteller beckon and encourage you.

May God the life changer challenge you and cherish

the moments of your nights and days. These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: God be with you

All: And also with you.

All: Amen!

Sending Forth Song ~ Go, Make a Diff’rence

Go make a diff’rence.

We can make a diff’rence. Go make a diff’rence in the

world.

Go make a diff’rence.

We can make a diff’rence. Go make a diff’rence in the

world.

We are the salt of the earth, called to let the people see the

love of God for you and me.

We are the light of the world, not to be hidden but be seen.

Go make a diff’rence in the world.

Chorus

We are the hands of Christ, reaching out to those in need,

the face of God for all to see.

We are the spirit of hope; we are the voice of peace.

Go make a diff’rence in the world.

Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.

This is a time to talk about the message and explore together using the ORID Art Form Conversation methodology. What is ORID? It stands for Observation, Reflection, Interpretation, and Decision. You will get the hang of it.
