Welcome and Announcements

Pastor Ken

Opening Words

Led by Pastor Ken

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: To create a world where every person is radically affirmed and barriers between people become bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Call to Worship

Led by Pastor Ken

One:   The earth is turning and the sun is shining.

All: Exploding orb of helium and hydrogen, firing our lives into existence.

One: We are here.

All: We mindfully take our places in life again.

One: Imagine… we are one, connected, human family.

All: Be and know that we are the ones the world awaits.

One: Each of us here and now: a difference, a beautiful presence.

All: God says, “Yes,” to each of us.

Singing Our Faith ~ For The Beauty of the Earth

Please stand if comfortably able  by Conrad Kocher & Folliet Pierpont

1.   For the beauty of the earth,

For the glory of the skies,

For the love which from our birth

Over and around us lies,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise

This our hymn of grateful praise.

2. For the wonder of each hour

Of the day and of the night,

Hill and vale and tree and flower,

Sun and moon and stars of light,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise

This our hymn of grateful praise.

3. For the joy of ear and eye,

For the heart and mind’s delight,

For the mystic harmony

Linking sense to sound and sight,

Lord of all, to Thee we raise

This our hymn of grateful praise.

The Word About Life for Today - Matthew 18:15-20

Shared by Pastor Ken

"If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one.

But if you are not listened to, take one or two others along with you, so that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in    heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.

Celebrations and Allelu Celebration Song

Led by Pastor Ken

This is our time to share the celebrations of our lives: birthdays,

anniversaries, words of kindness and works of peace and justice.

Allelu! Allelu! Ev-’ry-body sing

For the Lord has risen it is true:

     Ev’ry body sing Allelu!

1. On the third day He did rise, Allelu, Allelu!

Now He lives no more to die, Alleluia!

           Chorus

2. Now we too can live anew, Allelu, Allelu!

Live in Him need all we do, Alleluia!

           Chorus

Invitation to Give

Led by Pastor Ken

One:   In the light and beauty of day,

All:    We give thanks in awe and wonder.

One:   In the dark and stillness of night,

All: We dream of healing and hope.

One: And so we give with all our joys and in all our concerns. May we be ever mindful of the presentness of God among us, and to see new possibilities of the now.

Sending Forth Song ~ "Go Make a Difference"

Chorus:

Go make a difference

We can make a difference.

Go make a difference in the world.

Go make a difference

We can make a difference.

Go make a difference in the world.

We are the salt of the earth called to let the people see the love of God in you and me.

We are the light of the world not to be hidden but be seen

Go make a difference in the world.

Chorus

We are the hands of Christ reaching out to those in need

The face of God for all to see.

We are the spirit of hope.

We are the voice of peace.

Go make a difference in the world.

Chorus
