Singing Our Faith ~ Circle of Friends

by Jim Manley

1. Come and sit together in a circle of friends

Be at home, be at peace, be at rest.

Come and sit together in a circle of friends,

Sitting in a circle is best.

Laugh (echo), cry (echo), live (echo), die (echo),

Hello (echo), goodbye (echo),

And God make us a circle of friends.

2. People in the wilderness feel lost and walk alone.

Come to us, hear the Word, be at rest.

Three fires in the clearing,

and the voices you are hearing

Is the singing of a circle of friends.

Chorus

3. Ceasing from our routine is a Sabbath in itself;

Stop our work, catch our breath, be at rest.

Renewal of our spirits gives us strength to do our

best.

Keeping Sabbath with friends is best.

Chorus

4. Feasting with our potluck is a challenge and a joy,

Gluten free, lactose free, vegetar’

But everyone is welcome, and we do our very best

Sabbath feasting with friends is best!

Chorus

Music for Thinking of You Cards

Shared by

In the pew racks are cards with the title “Thinking Of You”. Please use these cards to write a note to someone so they know they are remembered and cared for. Put the card in the offering plate when it comes by, and the church office will forward the cards to the person addressed on the card. This was one of the elements of our time together that you lifted up as important for all of us.

Thank you!

Invitation to Give ~

Shared by Sue Stuart

One: As one heart is lifted

All: May we share its celebration.

One: As one heart is burdened

All: May we share the pain it knows.

One: As one Body, share ourselves through our

offerings.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.
