Singing Our Faith ~ We Are the Family

Chorus

We are the family and we are the home,

We are the mountain where love can be known.

We are the voices and we are the hands

For bringing peace to our land.

(Repeat)

1. And in our family all are welcome,

Doesn’t maƩer who you are,

In our home there’s always room

So plan to stay.

On our mountain where we labor

There’s much work that’s leŌ to do,

And your talents would be helpful if you stay.

Chorus

2. And in our family ev’ry naƟon,

Ev’ry planet, ev’ry race,

Ev’ryone is always welcome to our home.

And with our voices let us tell you

That we mean just what we say,

And with our hands united, let us pray.

Chorus

Call to Worship

Led by WISE Team Member Susan Glynn

One: God calls us to love one another as ourselves;

All: the one who is weak and the one who is strong,

One: the one who is happy and the one who is sad,

All: the one who is enjoying mental wellness today

One: and the one who is struggling with mental illness and

All: the one whom we understand and the one we don’t,

One: the one who is embraced and the one who is shunned,

All: the one who is like us and the one who is different.

One: Come, let us worship together!

All: We come trusting in God’s Abundant Love!

Celebrations

Led by Lois Beberniss

Music for Thinking of You Cards

In the pew racks are cards with the title “Thinking Of You”. Please use these cards to write a note to someone so they know they are remembered and cared for. Put the card in the offering plate when it comes by and the church office will forward the cards to the person addressed in the card. This was one of the elements of our time together that you lifted up as important for all of us.

Thank you!

Invitation to Give

Led by Liz Curry

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

Word About Life~ Mental Health Sunday Reflection

Shared by WISE Team Member, Michael Curry

1 For everything there is a season and a Ɵme for every matter under heaven.

2 A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted;

3 a time to kill and a Ɵme to heal; a time to break down and a time to build up;

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a

time to dance;

5 a time to throw away stones and a time to gather stones

together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from

embracing;

6 a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to throw away;

7 a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak;

8 a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.

Words for Mission

Led by WISE Team Member Janice Morrison

One: Forgiveness is a strange thing. It can sometimes be

easier to forgive our friends and our enemies. It can be

hardest most of all to forgive the people that we love the

most in this world. These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: God be with you

All: And also with you.

One: Amen.

All: Amen!

Sending Forth Song ~ We Are Companions On Our Journey

We are companions on our journey,

Breaking bread and sharing life.

In the love we bear is the hope we share

For we believe in the love of our God.

Yes, we believe in the love of our God.

1. No longer strangers to each other,

No longer strangers in God’s house,

We are blest and we are nourished,

By the love we all can share.

Chorus

2. Although the journey may be rocky,

Although the way’s not always clear,

We will share God’s love a-plenty,

With all people far and near.

Chorus
