Welcome and Announcements

Shared by Pastor Ken

Opening Words

One: Who are we and what are we called to do?

All: We are the sensitive and responsive ones called to create a world where every person is radically affirmed and barriers between people become

bridges of inclusion, justice, and spirituality.

Entry Into Spiritual Community

Led by Marilyn Rampley

One: It's time for us.

All: This time is for us.

One: We step inside the sacred circle.

All: Here, with courage, we see our lives as part

of the continually astonishing mystery of life.

One: Here, with reflection, we know our lives are

always lived connected with other people, wider

communities, the eternal humanity.

All: Here, with faith, we reach beyond ourselves, to

find that good spirit that strengthens our

spirit; to hear that word that changes us; and

to come closer to the sacred...

One: This time is for us.

Singing Our Faith ~ Draw the Circle Wide

by Ruth C. Duck and Jim Strethdee

Draw the circle wide. Draw it wider still.

Let this be our song, no one stands alone,

Standing side by side, draw the circle wide.

God the still-point of the circle,

Round whom all creation turns;

Nothing lost, but held forever

In God’s gracious arms.

Chorus

Let our hearts touch far horizons,

So encompass great and small,

Let our loving know no borders,

Faithful to God’s call.

Chorus

Let the dreams we dream be larger,

Than we’ve ever dreamed before;

Let the dream of Christ be in us,

Open ev’ry door.

Chorus

Music for Thinking of You Cards ~

Shared by Tanner Bayles

In the pew racks are cards with the title “Thinking Of You”. Please use these cards to write a note to someone so they know they are remembered and cared for. Put the card in the offering plate when it comes by, and the church office will forward the cards to the person addressed on the card. This was one of the elements of our time together that you lifted up as important for all of us.

Thank you!

Invitation to Give ~

Shared by Marilyn Rampley

May our hearts be opened, our hands unclenched,

and our ears unclogged, that we may

feel and touch and taste and see

the breath and play of Creativity God around us.

In our offerings, we share not only measurable treasures of time, talents, and resources, we radically commit ourselves to sharing immeasurable gifts of forgiveness, grace, compassion, acceptance, and loving concern with each other and with ourselves.

In response to our celebrations and the deep goodness of life, our offerings for the celebration of life, in this place and beyond, shall now be received.

Word About Life~

Offered by Pastor Ken

Words for Mission

Led by Cindy Gattorna

One: In sharing this meal, singing and praying together,

and in the proclamation of the Word About Life we

renew our Covenant with the Sacred, with all

Creation, and with one another.

All: We commit ourselves to walk gently upon this

planet, to raise our voice in the service of life,

to love kindness, and to seek justice.

One: These are the times!

All: We are the people!

One: All of Creation is blessed!

All: May we love all and serve all!

One: God be with you

All: And also with you.

One: Amen.

All: Amen!

Sending Forth Song ~ Go, Make a Diff’rence

Go make a diff’rence.

We can make a diff’rence. Go make a diff’rence in the

world.

Go make a diff’rence.

We can make a diff’rence. Go make a diff’rence in the

world.

We are the salt of the earth, called to let the people see the

love of God for you and me.

We are the light of the world, not to be hidden but be seen.

Go make a diff’rence in the world.

Chorus

We are the hands of Christ, reaching out to those in need,

the face of God for all to see.

We are the spirit of hope; we are the voice of peace.

Go make a diff’rence in the world.

Chorus

Sermon Reboot is ON for today.

This is a time to talk about the message and explore together using the ORID Art Form Conversation methodology. What is ORID? It stands for Observation, Reflection, Interpretation, and Decision. You will get the hang of it.
