We are truly thankful for the many blessings of our school, students, faculty, staff, and families. Thank you for your continued support of Westfield and your partnership with us in providing an education for your child. We pray that you and your family will have a safe, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will resume Tuesday, December 2nd.

Please note that our annual KidsGive campaign, a partnership with Perry Volunteer Outreach since 2008 to provide gifts for children in our community, is underway. Gift tags are located on Christmas trees on campus, and all donated gifts must be returned to Westfield by December 6th. Thank you for supporting this wonderful ministry in our community!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Take a peek at our Pre-K students learning Spanish! They love learning with Mrs. Ashley Davis through songs and story time. Lower School students from Pre-K through 5th grade receive Spanish instruction daily. Learning a second language helps improve academic skills such as listening, memory, and concentration, while helping children understand and appreciate other cultures. #westfieldforeignlanguage

Guided step-by-step in a directed drawing activity, these little artists in Pre-K created the cutest Thanksgiving turkeys. Directed drawing helps preschoolers not only improve listening skills in following directions, but also helps them strengthen fine motor skills, improve hand-eye coordination, and build self-confidence in learning to draw. And, we love watching them be creative! #westfieldprek

We are Westfield proud of our third graders who were the winners of the City of Perry Government and City of Perry Fire & Emergency Services annual Fire Safety Poster Contest! Congratulations to the overall first place winner Brady Smith, 1st runner up Hallie Shell, and honorable mention winners Lyndon Wagnon and Anne Marie Rigdon. These students were recognized by the Mayor and City Council for being winners of the yearly contest which includes entries from third graders from all of the elementary schools in Perry. As the winner, Brady will have the honor of riding on a fire truck not only to school one morning but also in the Perry Christmas Parade on December 7th! Thank you to all of our third graders for participating in this year’s contest and to our Perry Fire Department for helping educate our students on the importance of fire safety and prevention! #westfieldthirdgrade

Congratulations to freshman Sara Gore for competing in Informative Speaking in the Peach State Classic at Carrollton High School. We are Westfield proud! #westfielddebate

AP Environmental Science students “competed” with each other in a “fishing” contest to help them better understand the Tragedy of the Commons. This lab exercise demonstrated how individuals might utilize one or more common resources and the potential result of various resource use and depletion. #handsonlearning

We are beyond blessed to have these precious little Hornets as part of our school community! Dress rehearsal this morning for one of our favorite Westfield traditions! Our first grade students and their teachers are amazing! These precious "Pilgrims and Native Americans" will take the stage tomorrow at 9 am for their performance of The First Thanksgiving! #thanksgivingatWestfield

Middle School students in Mrs. Lauren Mann’s class are learning not only how to sing hymns, but also understanding the lyrics to learn to worship. Each week, the students learn a “hymn of the week.” This week's hymn is "My Faith Has Found a Resting Place," written by Eliza F. Hewitt in 1891. The students also are rehearsing for their upcoming Christmas Chorus concert on Wednesday, December 11th at 6 pm in the Gymnatorium. #westfieldmusic #educationofmindandheart

Middle and Upper School assembly is a wonderful way to start our Wednesday mornings. We are thankful for our Praise Band students and Mrs. Lauren Mann for leading us in worship and to local pastors who share the Gospel with our students. This morning, Aaron Findley, student pastor of The Vine Church, shared the story of Daniel and his resolve and obedience to God. He encouraged our students to have the courage to step out and live out their faith as Christians and not in the way that the world lives, reminding us that God uses common people to lead uncommon lives in the common trials, temptations, and challenges of life. #WednesdayWisdom

Our KidsGive trees are up around campus, and students are taking tags to help make Christmas merrier for children in our community. Gifts are due back to Westfield by Friday, December 6th. KidsGive is a special partnership with Perry Volunteer Outreach which began in 2008. We are grateful for this opportunity each year for our students, faculty, staff, and families to give back to our community in such a special way. #KidsGive
