Thank You, Volunteers!
This week, we celebrated the incredible contributions of our amazing volunteers during the WFO appreciation breakfast. Whether you assist in the concession stand, serve as room parents, help in the Spirit Shop, or work tirelessly on the Annual Fund and Silent Auction committees, your dedication makes a lasting impact on our school community. For those who couldn’t join us, please know how much we value your efforts. You are a vital part of what makes Westfield so special.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Chick-fil-A Perry for generously sponsoring the breakfast. Your support means so much to us!

Our fourth grade students have been immersed in the study of Colonial America learning not only the history, but also the guiding principles of the time. Today, they are celebrated Patriots' Day and experiencing the 18th century as if they were truly Patriot children. They have learned about music from this period in history, sewing, making butter, the work of a blacksmith, marching in the military, and playing colonial games. Thank you to Mrs. Mary Ann Thames, violinist, Chief Spears and the Perry High School ROTC Cadets, and Mr. Trenton Tye, professional blacksmith, and our fourth grade teachers for making this such a special day of learning for our students. #westfieldfourthgrade #whyamericaisfree #patriotsday #educationofmindandheart | | | | What an exciting day when two of your teachers are winners of the Flint Energies Bright Ideas Grant! Sixth graders in Mrs. Kayce Slade’s social studies class have been learning about the electoral college. This week, they worked in pairs to play a game where they ran against each other for president and chose states to win. The first to 270 won! The students also used the projected map to predict the election outcome. On election night, they colored their maps and then compared election results the next day! The sixth graders joined other Middle School students in a mock election on election day! #EngagedLearning #studyinghistory #collaborativelearning #westfieldsixthgrade #educationofmindandheart | |
