Hello Westfield families!
We hope that all of our students and families had a restful fall break and are ready for Westfield's Homecoming this weekend. Details for the pre-game parade and activities are included in this newsletter. Please continue to pray for the MacPherson family, especially during these difficult days and weeks ahead. As we join together to celebrate the fifty years of our school through Homecoming festivities this weekend, we are reminded of the closeness and strength of the Westfield community and what it has meant to families in times of both grief and joy since the school began. We are truly grateful for our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families. #wearewestfield
Today’s throwback post is a salute to Westfield’s very first Homecoming. The first Homecoming was held on November 3, 1972. The Westfield Hornets took on the Piedmont Academy Cougars. The evening’s festivities included a pre-game parade, naming of the Football Sponsor, Mrs. Beverly Davidson Puckett, and crowning of the Homecoming Queen, Mrs. Marian Pruitt Fraser. These special Homecoming traditions still continue to this day. #throwbackthursday #50yearsofwestfield #honoringourpastandbuildingourfuture #westfieldtraditions

We think our second graders are absolutely RADIANT! After reading and studying Charlotte's Web , the student celebrated by dressing up as characters from the book, enjoying a picnic, and playing games under the Big Tree. What a great way to celebrate reading!
