Greetings!
The new school year is off to a great start! Just over a week ago, we welcomed 627 Hornets to campus, including 99 brand new students! We also welcome eleven new faculty and staff. Thank you to our entire faculty and staff, our Westfield Family Organization (WFO), our students, and all of our families for your support of Westfield and the opening of a new school year! It's great to be a Westfield Hornet! #WeareWestfield

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Westfield Family Organization encourages parents to be involved with our students as they volunteer at school activities. There is always an opportunity to help with the Annual Fund, Book Fair, decorate for open house, provide refreshments or decorations for special events or assist with welcoming new families to our school, or help in the spirit shop. WFO volunteers show our students that part of life is giving time back to our school as adults. The WFO includes several committees that facilitate annual events and work on year long projects. Our students build lasting friendships with these individuals. Please click below to be a part of this year's WFO!

Shop & Support

Did you know you can help support Westfield by simply shopping at your favorite
stores? Westfield participates in several community rewards programs that donate a percentage of each sale back to our school. Publix, Amazon Smile, and Kroger are just a few of the merchants that partner with Westfield.
After reading The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, kindergarten students in Mrs. Christina Gilbert and Mrs. Cristi Parks’s class made necklaces to wear home for their parents to ask them about the kissing hand. They also received two Hershey kisses - one to enjoy and one to take home to their moms! We love this sweet kindergarten tradition! #educationofmindandheart
Second graders in Mrs. Tonya Hair’s class had so much fun going on a “Noun Hunt”! They explored the entire campus looking for people, places, things…and animals! #handsonlearning #westfieldsecondgrade #educationofmindandheart
Students in Mrs. Amber Churcher’s fourth grade math classes worked collaboratively to construct “The Great Paper Chain”. Each group was challenged to create the longest paper chain possible using one piece of construction paper. Great STEM activity! #collaborativelearning #handsonlearning #STEMeducation #educationofmindandheart #westfieldfourthgrade
Fourth graders in Mrs. Shannon Reber’s classes created their own “flying books” after reading The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce. #loveofreading #books #westfieldfourthgrade #WeareWestfield #educationofmindandheart
Seventh graders in Mrs. Leigh Ann Champion’s science class worked in groups to find consensus on the skills needed most for surviving life in a desert - a great activity for engaging students for collaboration and communication skills. #handsonlearning #collaborativelearning #educationofmindandheart
Honors Biology students in Mr. Lee Ledger’s conducted a lab assignment by preparing wet mount slides of animal and plant cell specimens to view and study under the microscope. #handsonlearning #upperschool #educationofmindandheart
Middle and Upper School students presented outstanding speeches during this week's assembly programs for Student Council class Vice President and President elections. It is great to see so many students running for office! #buildingleaders #studentcouncil #UpperSchool #educationofmindandheart #WeareWestfield
Artists at work! Mrs. Karen Ray’s third grade art class are learning “wet-on-wet painting,” a technique of painting over a thin base of wet paint often used by famous American artist Bob Ross. #handsonlearning #westfieldfinearts #westfieldthirdgrade #educationofmindandheart
Middle and Upper School students joined together before school this morning for worship music and prayer. In addition to Thursdays before school, our Middle and Upper School Prayer Clubs meet on Tuesdays during break for prayer and a student-led devotional. Our hearts are full seeing our students praying and sharing their love of Christ with one another! #educationofmindandheart
The entire Upper School was well represented in this week's varsity softball 15-0 win over Schley County with home runs by a freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior! Great job, Lady Hornets!! The team is undefeated with a 4-0 record for the season. The Lady Hornets play Pinewood this Saturday, August 20th at home in the Hornets' Nest with the JV game at 12 noon and the varsity game at 2 pm. #westfieldsoftball
