Summer will be here soon, and Camp Westfield is the place to be! New camps are still being added. Westfield is open to Westfield and non-Westfield students. Camps fill up fast so don't wait too late to register! #campwestfield2019

Collaborative learning is a method used to help students learn through listening and sharing peer to peer. Research shows that collaborative learning methods benefit student performance, help students build self-confidence, and encourage students to work together for a common goal. Our first graders have been reading their published pieces, non-fiction stories about magnets, with the second graders. The second graders have been buddy reading with the students in kindergarten. What a wonderful way to help students improve their reading and listening skills while encouraging a love of reading!

Westfield freshman Cooper Hardy won the Perry Rotary Club's local speech contest and advanced to win the western zone speech competition in representing the Perry Rotary Club. Congratulations, Cooper! We are Westfield proud!

Scholarships for Seniors

Applications and information for the following scholarships are now available outside Ms. Jackie Almand's office:

Houston County Bar Association Scholarship

(deadline April 12 - Houston County residents only)

Kiwanis Club of Perry Scholarship (deadline April 17)

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship (deadline June 14)

Middle and Upper School students had the opportunity to hear the story of two people who fled to the United States from Cuba as teenagers during Fidel Castro's regime. Mr. Emilio and Mrs. Theresa González-Chávez, grandparents of two Westfield students and a Westfield graduate, shared about their experiences in Cuba and how their lives have been changed. #educationofmindandheart

Upper School students in Mrs. Alisia Benavides' Visual Art 1 class are working on color mixing, while students in Ceramics 1 are working on the potters wheel. Westfield is fortunate to be able to offer arts education to all students from Pre-k through senior year! #westfieldart
