Thank you for making seventh annual Red Out a great success! Together, our students, faculty, and basketball fans raised over $2,371! Special thanks to our Senior Beta Club for organizing the event, and to WFO Spirit Shop Chairperson Lanier Pearson for coordinating the Red Out t-shirt sale!
Westfield's "Red Out" began in February 2013 in honor of student Tucker Moody
'15
who collapsed and suffered cardiac arrest during a varsity basketball game. He received CPR and underwent open heart surgery to correct an undetected congenital heart defect (anomalous left coronary artery). Tucker returned to Westfield after recovering from his surgery and played varsity football his junior and senior years. He is currently a senior at Auburn University. Since the 2013 Red Out, Westfield students, faculty, staff, and families have donated over $14,943 to the American Heart Association. #redoutforamericanheart #hornetshaveheart
