Merry Christmas! It is hard to believe that we are near the end of the fall semester and the year 2019. Our students are working hard in the classroom, competing in winter sports, and performing on stage. Our halls are decked with Christmas artwork, trees, and decorations. It is a wonderful time of year, and we are grateful for the opportunity we have to share the news of our Savior's birth and the true meaning of Christmas with our students. As a reminder, Middle and Upper School students will be taking semester tests/exams. Please be sure to check the exam schedules (links to view and download are included below). School will dismiss on Friday, December 20th at 12 noon (no After School Program available) to begin the Christmas break.

Prayers and Donations for the Walker Family
Donations are still being accepted by the Wild Goose Chase Foundation for the Phillip Walker Family Fund. As many of you may know, Phil Walker, a Westfield parent, was critically injured while at work. He is in a non-medically induced coma at Navicent Health in Macon with swelling and bruising of the brain, a spinal cord injury and multiple broken bones. He is a living miracle and is fighting hard to come back to his loving wife, Connie (‘99), and his 3 children: Warren, a senior at UGA, Emma Grace, 4th grade, and Jackson, Kindergarten. One hundred percent of all donations will be given to the Walker family for medical and family living expenses while Phil is hospitalized, during rehabilitation, or subsequent care. Any additional funds will be used to create a college fund for the children. Each donation is tax deductible. The Foundation will compile a list of donors and disperse funds as requested by the Walker family.
Donations may be dropped off at Westfield's Administration office or mailed directly to Wild Goose Chase Foundation, 1195 Taylors Mill Road, Fort Valley Georgia 31030. Venmo donations can be sent to @WildGoose-Foundation. Please include “Phillip Walker Family Fund” in the notes of your donation.
Please continue to cover Phil, Connie, and their family in prayer in the days and weeks to come.

Today's throwback recognizes Westfield's varsity wrestling program which organized in 2002 and began competition in 2003. Now in its seventeenth year, the program has earned many accolades at both the individual and team levels. Westfield wrestling won two state championships in 2013 and 2014, as well as seven region championships in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Many Hornet wrestlers have earned individual region and state championships over the year. Westfield's wrestling program has expanded to include Middle School and JV teams. Last year, the Middle School team won the state tournament. We are Westfield proud of our Hornet wrestling teams of the past and present!

Our entire student body, teachers, and staff joined together for a special assembly to present over four hundred gifts to Perry Volunteer Outreach. Thanks to our amazing Westfield family, one hundred and twenty-five children in the Perry area will have a merrier Christmas. We are grateful that the KidsGive program has become a Westfield tradition that not only helps families in our community, but also continues in memory of Mr. Frank Shelton, founder of PVO and long-time Westfield supporter and grandparent, and his incredible legacy to our community.
