September 9, 2021
Greetings!
Please review the following important announcements:

  • Students, faculty, and staff are asked to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow (Friday, September 10th), in memory of the lives lost during the attacks of September 11, 2001.
  • Tomorrow's varsity football game (Friday, September 10th) vs. Baconton Charter has been cancelled by Baconton. The athletic department is actively looking for a game during the team’s open week (September 24th).
  • Out of an abundance of caution and concern regarding COVID and the substantial spread in Houston County, Westfield will not be hosting the Homecoming Dance scheduled for October 2nd for grades 9 – 12. Additional information about Homecoming activities will be announced at a later date.
  • The Freshman class retreat has been rescheduled to Monday, October 4th.
  • The Senior class Retreat has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 7th.
  • Fall Break will be held Friday, October 8 - Tuesday, October 12. Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 13th.
  • There have been several incidents of lightning in the vicinity of our campus during car line pick up from after school dismissal and pick up from after school practices/activities/After School program. We are currently reviewing our safety protocols for lightning/severe weather during drop off and pick up times. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility, especially in car line, as we strive to keep our students, faculty, and staff safe.

Thank you for your understanding and patience throughout this school year, especially during the pandemic. We appreciate your prayers and support. It is great to be a Westfield Hornet! #wearewestfield

New check out guidelines!

Students who need to check out in the afternoon must check out before 2 p.m. Because of heavy car line traffic, families checking out students at 2 pm or after have not been able to exit campus. For that reason, all check outs must be before 2 p.m. Parents/guardians who arrive after 2 p.m. to check out a student will have to wait until after our 3 p.m. dismissal and after car line traffic has moved through campus.
Please remember to call the school office at 478-987-0547 IN ADVANCE so that we may have your child ready to check out prior to 2 pm.
ORDER YOUR EXTRA YEARBOOK

Each year, The Westfield School publishes the Vespidae yearbook. The 2020-2021 (last school year) yearbook was published this summer and will be distributed tomorrow - Friday, September 10th.

Each Westfield family who had a student enrolled during the 2020-2021 school year receives one (1) yearbook at no charge. This yearbook is distributed to the oldest student in the family if there is more than one student in the family attending Westfield.

Additional yearbooks may be purchased at a cost of $50 per book by completing and submitting the Yearbook Order Form at the button below. The cost for ordering yearbooks must be charged to your Westfield account.
