Thank you for your generous support of the 50
th
Anniversary Campaign. In just three short weeks, we reached 88 percent school-wide participation, AND every single grade reached 80 percent participation or higher. This is such an outstanding accomplishment! As a result, all grades will receive a pizza party, and all students will be allowed to wear Spirit Wear the entire month of December. Additionally, everyone will enjoy a day off of school on April 13
th
.
Contributions to the 50
th
Anniversary Campaign will benefit the renovation and expansion of the Gymnatorium. Although the three-week participation drive has come to an end, please remember this is an ongoing campaign. You may make a donation at any time. Your donations will allow Westfield to continue honoring our past and building our future! Donations can be made via cash, check, bill account, or online. Thank you again for your outstanding support! #honoringourpastandbuildingourfuture

Today’s throwback post is a salute to Westfield Cross Country. Westfield’s Cross Country program began in 1999. Although the first teams were small, they had a successful year and started an excellent precedent. In fact, both the 2004 and 2007 varsity boys' cross country teams earned Region titles. Today’s cross country teams are coached by Liana Walton and Wendy Bryan.

First grade has enjoyed reading all of Mo Willems’ books about The Pigeon, Knuffle Bunny, and Elephant and Piggy! These first graders have studied him as a writer and learned how he uses speech bubbles, thinking bubbles, bold words, sound words, and illustrations to tell his stories. Westfield first grade loved Mo Willems!
