Help Make Christmas Merrier for
Children in Our Community!
KidsGive Begins November 18th

Since 2008, Westfield has partnered with Perry Volunteer Outreach's KidsGive program to help make Christmas merrier for children in need in our community. Again this year, we will have KidsGive trees decorated with gift tags in buildings throughout campus starting Monday, November 18th. We hope your student will participate by taking one of the KidsGive gift tags and purchasing the item listed on the tag for a child in our community. We ask that your gift be returned to Westfield no later than December 4th so that we may present these gifts to Perry Volunteer Outreach at our school-wide KidsGive assembly on Friday, December 6th.

Just a reminder of the KidsGive gift guidelines:

1) Please purchase only the item(s) that is listed on the gift tag per request from PVO
2) Gift(s) must be returned to Westfield by Wednesday, December 4th
3) Gift(s) must be unwrapped - please do not wrap your gift
Please note that if the gift item is more than one item (i.e. the item is socks and you purchase more than one pair), you may put all items in a large Ziploc bag with the KidsGive attached to the bag
4) Gift(s) must have the KidsGive tag attached

We hope that you will use this opportunity as a "teachable moment" to help students realize the importance of helping others, showing kindness, and serving our community. #kidsgive
Today’s post is a salute to Westfield’s academic program. Originally founded as Perry Christian Day School, our school began classes for grades one through twelve in 1970. The founding board included representative members of local church congregations who expressed a desire for a school that would have as its mission a college preparatory educational focus in a Christian environment. Our academic program later expanded to include kindergarten in 1976 and pre-kindergarten in 1992. Although, the scope of academics has expanded over the past 50 years, our dedication to educating students in a Christian environment has remained constant. #throwbackthursday #50yearsofwestfield #honoringourpastandbuildingourfuture #educationofmindandheart

Congratulations to seventh grader JB Carroll, our Middle School spelling bee champion, and eighth grader Joshua Rainey, our spelling bee alternate! JB and Joshua will travel to Mount de Sales in February for the regional Middle School spelling bee competition.
To help them learn about procedural writing, second graders wrote a recipe and instructions for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Watch and listen as Mrs. Shannon Reber, one of Westfield's second grade teachers, follows their recipe and step-by-step instructions! #interactivelearning

Our Hornet varsity football team will open the GISA state playoffs tomorrow (Friday, November 15) at Loganville Christian. The game will kickoff at 7:30 pm. Admission will be $10 for adults and $8 for students -- no season passes, only GISA passes accepted because this is a state playoff game.
