First graders in Mrs. Liana Walton’s class wrote and illustrated their own versions of “Don’t Let the Pigeon…” after reading the book, “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus.” First grade loves Mo Willem’s pigeon books! #westfieldfirstgrade

Students in Mrs. Christy Mooring’s 7th grade English classes are reviewing “The Wednesday Wars”, a novel by Gary D. Schmidt that took place in 1967 during the Vietnam War, by participating in a "bombing" drill like the characters from our book. They are using the novel to provide text evidence while analyzing the characters, conflicts, and themes. #interactivelearning #educationofmindandheart
Current Spanish IV students in Mrs. Tina Bowker's class wrote letters in the target language to 2021 Westfield graduates who took Spanish IV last school year as encouragement for them starting their college careers. #westfieldforeignlanguage #encourageoneanother #educationofmindandheart
Starting the day with prayer is the best way to start the day! We are thankful for our Middle School Prayer Club and these students who gather together for student-led devotional and prayer before school begins. Our Upper School Prayer Club meets on Thursday mornings during break. #educationofmindandheart
Thank you to Daryl McElwain, Flint River FCA, for inspiring our students and sharing God’s word from 2 Timothy 3:1-5 with our Middle and Upper School students this week's assembly. Mr. McElwain demonstrated sharing the name of Jesus with others using a bracelet with four symbols: heart, divide, cross, question. Heart – God loves each of us. Divide – We are separated from God by sin. Cross – Jesus took our place on the cross. Question – We each have to answer individually if we will accept the name of Jesus as our Savior. #virtualassembly #wednesdaywisdom #educationofmindandheart
