2023-2024 Annual Fund Campaign:

Enhancing Westfield Safety, One Donation at a Time!

We are excited to kickoff our 2023-2024 Annual Fund Campaign! Contributions raised will be pivotal in sustaining our School Resource Officer (SRO) program and implementing measures to improve safety on campus (pathway paving for carline and other enhancements), all of which rely on the support of our Annual Fund Campaign.

Your support, regardless of the amount, makes a significant difference in the lives of our students. We appreciate your continued commitment to our school and the well-being of your children. Please click on the video below to learn more about this year's Annual Fund Campaign and watch for more details over the next two weeks as we strive to reach our goal!

Second graders in Mrs. Jessica Roberts’ class have been learning about government and the privilege of voting. The class selected five students to be candidates for “Star of the Week.” These candidates made posters and campaigned on why they would be the best candidate for the job. All of the students filled out voter registration cards which they had to keep until Election Day when they went to their voting booth to vote for the candidate whom they thought was best suited for the job. After voting, they received “I Voted” stickers. The students have been learning about graphs in math, so they were able to calculate and graph the results. Congratulations to the winner - James Gurley, Star of the Week! #interactivelearning #westfieldsecondgrade #educationofmindandheart

Our third graders saw first hand how catalysts can cause chemical reactions in two experiments conducted by Mr. Jarrod Lewis, Upper School principal and science teacher. What a fun way to see a real chemical reaction in action! #learningoutsidetheclassroon #westfieldscience

These spooky little scientists had so much fun conducting experiments using pumpkins. They even found out if a pumpkin can float in water! #handsonlearning #SpookyScience #westfieldkindergarten

Our third grade classes partnered with one of our Upper School chemistry classes to conduct some "spooky science" experiments. This collaborative effort is a unique opportunity for our young students to learn from our older students - one of the blessings of a being a Pre-K-12 school! #westfieldscience #collaborativelearning #learningoutsidetheclassroom #educationofmindandheart

Our fourth grade students presented a special program this morning as part of their Patriots Day. The students have been immersed in the study of the Colonial period, learning not only the history but also the guiding principles of the time. Thank you to our fourth graders, our fourth grade teachers, and our music teachers for such a beautiful program! Be sure to check out our social media pages this week for more photos from Patriots Day. #whyamericaisfree #westfieldfinearts #westfieldfourthgrade #studyinghistory #educationofmindandheart

Our first graders are practicing for one of Westfield’s most beloved programs - The First Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing these precious children on stage for this year’s production! #westfieldfirstgrade #educationofmindandheart

Our Upper School art students in Mrs. DJ Blalock's classes created the perfect treats, capturing the sweetness of the candy in every stroke! #Westfieldart #treatsandsweets

Fifth grade students in Mrs. Ashley Davis’s Spanish enrichment class have learned to recite The Lord’s Prayer in Spanish. We love seeing them learning such a beautiful prayer in another language! #westfieldforeignlanguage #educationofmindandheart

Thank you to Mrs. Toni Slade and sophomore Kate Lane for speaking to our Upper School Foreign Language Club about a recent mission trip to Honduras. Mrs. Slade and Kate, along with other friends, family, and fellow church members, visited an orphanage where they educated youth in planting coffee trees to help them learn a sustainable career. The coffee beans from this project of hope will be used for coffee sold at the Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe to open in Kathleen. Thank you for sharing this incredible story of God's love and mercy with our students!

Members of our Tri-Hi-Y Club delivered some fall treats and candy as a “trick or treat” for the residents at Summerhill Senior Living Community. #servingothersandourcommunity #educationofmindandheart
